The benefits of physical wellness should be important to us all. There was a time in history where many people didn’t have to be concerned with their physical wellness. At least, not as much as we are concerned today.
The time in history where lifestyle required proper food and nutrition and the daily work kept their body in shape and muscular tone lent many benefits of physical wellness.
Physical Wellness Activities
Examples of physical wellness activities include eating nourishing foods daily. Sleeping enough to feel rested. This would be 8 or 9 hours of rest, maintaining an active lifestyle, limiting alcohol and substance use as well as Practicing safe sex and seeing the doctor for regular checkups.
If these physical wellness habits are lacking, to improve physical wellness, we must include improving them. There are many elements of physical wellness that all must be cared for together. Overall physical wellness encourages the balance of physical activity, nutrition and mental well-being to keep your body in top condition
Good physical activity for physical wellness:
- Jogging or running
- Swimming continuous laps
- Skipping rope
There are four main types of physical activities:
- Muscle strengthening
- Bone strengthening
Performing an exercise from each of these types encourages a balanced physical wellness. By practicing each of these everyday you should be able to achieve some of the many benefits of physical wellness lifestyle!
